My word was skittish. My shape was biomorphic. My design tool was directional conflict.
Skittish- excitable or easily scared. Synonyms: nervous, anxious, on edge, excitable, and jittery.
So what I did to show the word skittish was to make my biomorphic shape running from off page to the focal point. And since the direction was going to one point, I painted in lines inside the biomorphic shape to create a directional conflict.
The colors I choose was green, yellow-green, blue-green and blue-green’s complimentary color, red-violet. I wanted to used mostly dark colors to show that skittish is not a happy feeling, its more of a sad and scared one. I used the darker colors more towards the focal point and used the brighter away from it. I thought it would give that area more emphasis.
